1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cardtag ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Cardtag is an AI-powered networking and relationship management platform that enables you to:

  • Scan and digitize business cards
  • Store and manage professional contacts
  • Record voice notes and conversation context
  • Generate AI-powered follow-up suggestions
  • Network at live Arena events
  • Share your digital business card

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription Plans

Free Plan

  • Unlimited card scanning and contact storage
  • Join Arena networking events
  • 3 AI follow-ups per month
  • Digital business card

Pro Plan (KES 645/month)

  • All Free features
  • Unlimited voice context capture
  • Unlimited AI follow-ups
  • Advanced analytics
  • Priority support

Organizer Plan (KES 1,290/month)

  • All Pro features
  • Create unlimited Arena events
  • Host up to 100 participants
  • AI icebreaker generation
  • Event analytics
  • Dedicated support

All paid plans include a 7-day free trial. No credit card required for trial. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payments are processed securely through Paystack
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings
  • Refunds are issued at our discretion within 7 days of purchase
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice
  • You are responsible for all taxes applicable to your subscription

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or viruses
  • Spam or harass other users
  • Scrape or data mine the Service
  • Reverse engineer the platform
  • Share account credentials with others
  • Use the Service for illegal activities

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Cardtag and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you upload (contacts, notes, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a license to use your content to provide and improve the Service.

8. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses AI to generate follow-ups, insights, and icebreakers. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI suggestions before use
  • We do not guarantee the quality or appropriateness of AI content
  • Your prompts and context are processed by third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of contact information you upload, including business cards you scan.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

  • You retain access until the end of your billing period
  • Your account reverts to the Free plan
  • Premium features become unavailable

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Accuracy of OCR or AI-generated content
  • Compatibility with all devices
  • Security against unauthorized access

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDTAG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Loss of data or business opportunities
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Damages exceeding fees paid in the last 12 months

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.

14. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue features at any time
  • Change pricing with 30 days' notice
  • Update these Terms as needed
